La Casa En Los Mangos is located at kilometer 226 of the Acapulco-Zihuatanejo Federal Highway near the village of Los Almendros in the municipio of Zihuatanejo de Azueta on the Costa Grande of the state of Guerrero, Mexico.

If you arrive by plane we are only a few short kilometers from the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo Aeropuerto Internacional, about 5 minutes by car.

If you arrive by bus to the bus station in Zihuatanejo, we are only about a 15-minute drive away between San Miguelito and Los Almendros heading towards Acapulco.

Similarly, if you arrive by car coming from the direction of Lázaro Cárdenas or Morelia we are only about 15-minutes past the port of Zihuatanejo. Coming from the direction of Acapulco we are about 500 meters past the village of Los Almendros.

While you are at La Casa En Los Mangos you will also be able to enjoy many nearby lovely beaches on the Pacific Ocean. The enchanting beachfront village of La Barra de Potosí with its gentle surf, exotic lagoon and numerous waterfront seafood restaurants is only 15 minutes away via the road through the village of Los Achotes. By public transport it will take a little longer (cost: MX$15 for the passenger truck, MX$50 for taxi).

The beach of Playa Blanca is only 10 minutes away by car. It's coastline is distinguished for its length and it is dotted by palapas and enramada restaurants also specializing in fresh seafood and regional fare. Playa Blanca becomes Playa Larga at its northern end near Coacoyul, also featuring beachfront restaurants and only 10-12 minutes away.

One of our area's main attractions are the beaches in the Bay of Zihuatanejo. Playa La Madera, Playa La Ropa, Playa Las Gatas, and La Playa Principal are magnificent options. Only 15 minutes away by car or 20 minutes by bus (MX$8 for a microbus to downtown Zihuatanejo and then from there MX$6 to any beach, or MX$50 by taxi to downtown Zihuatanejo and MX$20-35 to any Zihuatanejo beaches).

Also, Ixtapa's Playa El Palmar and Playa Linda as well as the beaches of Isla Ixtapa have everything to enjoy a pleasant outing, and they are only about 25 minutes away by car or 40 minutes by bus.

In addition to our area's beaches, we have the nearby archaeological site of Soledad de Maciel (La Chole) as well as the religious center and gold market around the church in Petatlán. Both places are just to the south of us a short ways on the highway towards Acapulco.
